Recently I have noticed that I cannot open any documents I download from the Internet. This is new as I have documents I downloaded over a month ago that worked fine up until now.
It only applies to downloads as I can open the same files if I put them on usb instead of downloading them. I had a problem with permissions when I first swapped to Windows 10 and I solved it by creating a homegroup and resetting Onedrive, I had thought that problem was behind me.
I am not sure what to do about first step. As I said, permissions seem fine for all other files and I don’t want to go back to where I was before when I couldn’t save any files into my documents folder.
When the original permissions issue came about, I set chrome to download to another location. I know its not memory as I have 16gb of ram and gb of free space on the drive it is trying to access. After doing this, the hyperlink is working again, so it’s a policy setting issue I just have no idea which one!
